一、教学内容:
牛津小学英语年级上册 Unit4Then and now  (Story Time)部分
二、教学目的、要求:
【知识目标】 
1、能正确理解、掌握课文内容,并能朗读、初步复述。
2、掌握单词和词组: then and now, ago, use, telephone, office, mobile phone, anywhere, radio, newspaper, news, watch, e-book, make friends, all over the world, do shopping, TV,
3、在复习过去式的语法基础上,能进一步理解和掌握过去式的表达。
4、能运用过去和现在进行比较,再次复习过去式的构成规则.
【能力目标】
熟练朗读并能初步复述。
【情感目标】
感受日新月异的科技发展,激起热爱生活的情感。
三、教学重难点:
教学重点:
1、单词认读,部分单词的使用方法;
2、对课文的正确理解和熟练朗读。
教学难点:
1、能正确理解、掌握课文内容,朗读,并根据提示复述课文内容。
2、在复习过去式的语法基础上,能进一步理解和掌握过去式的表达。

教学过程:
Step One: Warm-up
1. Greeting
T: Class begins. Good morning, boys and girls
S: Good morning, Miss Gu.
2. Game: Brain storming
T: First of all, let’s have a game “ Brain storming”,请你快速说出下列动词的过去式。
S: 说出过去式。
T: (利用刚刚出示的动词,老师讲讲关于自己的情况)Say something about me!
My hair is long. I often buy things on the Internet. I can read books. I write letters to my e-friends.
Ask students to say something about your English teacher.
S: Her hair is…
  She can speak English well.
  She can teach. …
T: How about her twenty years ago?
S:See some pictures and say something about me 20 years ago.
T: Give students 4 T/F questions.
Step Two: Lead-in and presentation  
1. Lead-in
T: Now you know the changes about me? How about the other people? Let’s see.
  Six years ago, this boy could read, now he can play football.
  20 years ago, this man wrote letters, now he call people with the mobile phone.
  30 years ago, this old man read newspaper, now he reads e-books.
  20years ago, this woman made friends at school, now she has e-friends. Boys and girls, please tell me who are in this passage?
S: Answer my questions. They are Mike, Mr Brown, Grandpa and Mrs Brown.
T: Yes, today we are going to learn the passage about them.
T: What is the title of the passage?
S: Watch and snswer.
T: A/B/C choose. B: Then and now. it means过去和现在
2. Presentation
Mike’s part.
T: 自读课文第一段,用“~ ~”划出Mike以前能做和不能做的事情,用“——”划出他现在能做的事情。
S: Six years ago, Mike could not write. He could read and draw. Now he can do many things.
T: Here couldn’t =could not.(教学生读)
What could Mike do? What can he do now?
S: answer my questions.
T: Let’s read Mike’s part together.
S: Read Mike’s part together.
Mr Brown’s part
T: Now let’s see Mr Brown’s part. 自读课文第二段,用“~ ~”划出Mr Brown以前能做
和不能做的事情,用“——”划出他现在能做的事情。
S: 表示过去:20 years ago, he wore letters. He used the telephone.
表示现在:Now he writes e-mails, and he has a mobile phone. He can call his friends anywhere.
T: Now please answer my questions: How did Mr Brown contact people? How did he call people? How does Mr Brown contact people and how does he call people now?
S: Answer my questions.
T: Anywhere, what’s the meaning? A or B?
S: B.
T: It means 任何地方。
  Now please work in pairs and fill in the blanks.
S: Fill in the blanks and check the answer.
T: Now let’s read this part together.
 Grandpa part
T: Now let’s learn the changes about grandpa. Boys and girls when we read a passage, we can use these ways: 1, 自读,用“~ ~”表示过去,用“——”表示现在。
2. Think:1. How did he read news 30 years ago? 2. What about now?
3. Read:Try to read this part.
4. Say: Try to retell this part use your own words.
S: 30 years ago, grandpa listened to the radio and read newspaper. Now he reads the news on the Internet and he reads e-books.
T: Look at the pictures. A radio, a newspaper, Internet and an e-books.
Here are 4 questions about them, 4 in groups and discuss.
1. Do you still use radios now?
2. What can you do with the newspaper?
3. What do you do on the Internet?
4. What’s the differences(区别) between e-books and books?
S: discuss and answer.
T: Let’s read this part together.
Mrs Brown’s part
T: Boys and girls, let’s use the same way to learn the last part.
1, 自读,用“~ ~”表示过去,用“——”表示现在。
2. Think:1. How did she make friends and buy things 20 years ago?
2. What about now?
3. Read:Try to read this part.
4. Say: Try to retell this part use your own words.
S: Years ago, Mrs Brown made friends at school, and she bought things from shops. Now she has e-friends from all over the world and she buys things on the Internet.
T: all over the world, what does it mean? A or B.
S: A.
T: Please read this part together.
Step Three: Consolidation
1. Listen and repeat
2. Fill in the blanks
3. Retell
T: work in 4. each one chooses a part to read. And use the phrases on the blackboard to make a report about your part.
S:Students say their part.
4.Show Time
T: Look, this is our TV station. Today’s talk show is about Then and now. I am the host.
 Can you… Could you…
  4 students in a group, one as a host and please have an interview.
S: 四人一组,进行采访,上台表演。
T: Now, please write down your “then and now”
S: Write and discuss.
Step Four: Homework
1. Listen and read Story time.
2. Retell Story time on P38.
3. Find out Kunshan’s “ then and now” and discuss with your classmates.
